Sports ability program


The national sports ability program creates opportunities for young people with disabilities, particularly those with higher support needs, to play five inclusive sport activities. For more information visit the Australian Sports Commission website.

 

People Outdoors

 

People Outdoors is a camping and recreation program. The camp is open to children and teenagers aged six to 18 years. People Outdoors strives to provide the highest level of service, safety and enjoyment on all of their programs. Dude Ranch trail rides

Girls Footy

 

As well as having a senior and reserves side in the Victorian Women's Football League, the Diamond Creek Women's Football Club is submitting a team into the AFL Youth Girls Northern Competition in 2009. If you are aged between 13 and 18 years and want to be a part of it then go along and try out.

 

Training is currently on a Tuesday night at Diamond Valley Secondary College Tennis Courts from 4.45pm to 6.15pm

Yoga for kids and teens

 

Kids use their imagination; songs and games through postures, relaxation/meditation. Teens take a break from pressures of every day life, skills in stress management, yoga postures and meditation/relaxation.

Ryan Central Netball Club

 

The Ryan Central Netball Club trains and plays at the same complex, the Diamond Creek Force Netball Association complex. These courts are situated in Diamond Street, Diamond Creek.  We train using courts one-four and set up our information table at the Shipping Container. Player registration is only $10 with insurance starting at $28. We have limited vacancies in all age groups.

Leisure Access Program (LAP)

 

The Leisure Access Program (LAP) is a recreational and social program developed for teenagers and young adults in the Manningham area living with disabilities. Placed in to groups (determined by function levels and program suitability), a variety of programs are offered, which are suitable to each particular groups needs and interests whilst also providing respite for parents and carers.

 

Activities are run as either a day program on a Saturday or an evening program on a Wednesday, dependent on the group. School Holiday programs (SHLAP) also offer an opportunity for all LAP members to get to know each other and socialise with their friends. All groups are fully supervised and supported by qualified and enthusiastic staff during each activity

Pilates Classes

 

Go and try a beginners pilates class for free in a beautiful and ambient setting with a highly experienced and qualified instructor. If you have never done pilates before, here's your chance! Age or present fitness level does not matter. First class is free with no obligations to continue, if you do 10 classes cost is $90

Funk Dance

 

Funk dance is a fun street dance style, as seen on pop and r'n'b video clips. Experienced tutor and choreographer Sameer gets the girls and guys! Busting moves to the hottest new dance music in this super cool class. For primary and secondary students from ages eight years and over.

Diamond Valley Athletic Club

 

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club will conduct a Trials and Registration Day at Willinda Park, Greensborough on Sunday 4 October 2009, 1pm. The Athletics Victoria season of track and field athletics will start on Saturday 10 October 2009 and caters for male and female athletes from the Under 14 age group through to Open age.

 

Supervised training sessions are conducted at Willinda Park on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 5pm. So go along and try this exciting sport at the areas top athletics venue.

Diamond Creek Netball

 

Interested in playing netball? Then why not join the largest and most successful Club and Association in the Diamond Valley . It’s never too late to join. Registration forms available from clubroom anytime or can be downloaded. All games played Saturday mornings at Diamond Creek Netball Complex Diamond Street, Diamond Creek. Training is Monday after school.

Wanderers Australia Cricket Program

 

This team is designed for players who play cricket for their school, club etc and don’t have the opportunity to experience an overseas tour.  During the winter school holidays, Wanders Australia will be sending a team of young cricketers aged 15-18 years to the United Kingdom or South Africa.
