There is one question that splits most people's opinions when this question comes up. Every person has there own individual view. No I'm not talking about the political parties or which TV show is better, I'm talking about the great debate between Soccer vs. AFL. Which sport is more preferred?
This is a topic that is widely debated and there is no correct answer. Each sport has its excellence in different areas. First lets start with Soccer, the biggest played sport in the world. It is played in every country either at the elite level or down the alley ways in the local neighbourhood. It is a game that is watched on the world stage and even has its world cup that allows every country to get involved. It is one of the most highly skilful games that involves not only lots of practice but years of hard work to reach great heights. Soccer is played worldwide but is bigger in European countries.
On the other hand we have Australian Rules Football (AFL). Originated in Australia and now being played all over the world, this is the people choice. Our game entwines in with other sports in certain areas but is unique to us. It is played at all levels and with many programs running to get young kids involved grassroots footy is always growing. With at least one stadium in almost every state everyone has a chance to go and cheer on there favourite team. It is played with high intensity, aggressive brute force and enjoyable for all. It is a physical battle on the field while the work rate required is among the top sports. So my choice, well I will let you decide on this one for yourself.
