Every September at the end of the year, the traditional Diamond Creek fair (town fair) is held at the local football oval. It was a fun filled day with many activities, parades, workshops, rides and food. There is entertainment for all ages, girls and boys.
Some of the rides there were the Gee-Whiz, The Zipper, Fun Factory, Rocket ship, Energy Storm and more. After being on most of the rides I would have to say that the thriller was the scariest and I can still hear everyone screaming in my ear. For people with motion sickness I strongly not recommend this ride.
There were many different stalls set up around the oval like temporary tattoo stalls, chocolates and lollies, wigs and dress ups, foods and drinks and jewelry. There was also a lot of entertainment for the day. We had teenage and children singers and dancers from Greensborough performing as well as some girls, pole vaulting. There were gymnasts from Balance in research and music playing through out the whole night. We definitely saw and heard some amazing talents.
As soon as the sun went down out come the glow sticks and glow in the dark wands. There were people starting to set up the fire works. The fire works were amazing as always and were defiantly one of the highlights of the night.
After riding on breath taking rides and munching on the delicious food I was satisfied with the amazing night I had just had and I can’t wait till next year for it to happen again.
