TWILIGHT the book
I first got into Twilight because of my friends. We read it together and really enjoyed it. We joined in book clubs to talk about it and when we heard that there was a movie coming out about twilight we were so excited. The book is really about a normal girl falling in love with a vampire with some twist and turns. It is really one of those books that you can't put down. The beautiful girl, the mysterious but incredibly handsome vampire, the nice mother and father, blood thirsty vampires and the confident friend are such fantastic characters. It's a very interesting and popular book. Afterwards I saw poster being made of twilight characters, peoples my space names were named after twilight characters and there was also t-shirts and merchandise being sold with pictures of twilight on it. At some places I either lost interest or couldn't follow what was going on and sometimes it took me so long to read that I would forget the part I just read. But the bits that I did read were so detailed and interesting and it was definitely something worth reading. I couldn't wait for the next books to come out and still have to read them. Everywhere I go I see people reading the book. Even my mum is reading it. So you see twilight is a book for all ages, boys and girls.
TWILIGHT the movie
After reading the Twilight book I was stoked when I found out about the movie. My friends and I actually went together to see it at the cinemas because we were all big Twilight fans. We were lucky to get seats because the cinema was packed with anxious fans waiting to see the finished product. The movie started and at the end I was satisfied. I thought it was a brilliant movie but my friends thought different. My friend said that it was nothing like the book and told her that it was better then the book so we got into this debate. People had different opinions on which was better but then a new book came out then another and the another and soon everyone was reading different books and the other books weren't quite as successful as Twilight but when I heard that Stephanie Myers new movie of New moon was coming out everyone was stoked so that proves that movies are better then books.
Overall
The good things about reading are you get to use your imagination. You get to imagine what the characters look like, what they talk like and where abouts they are and what their surroundings look like. You can also take your time when reading because you can read at your own pace and take a break when you want. You can read basically anywhere you want too. It can sometimes be hard for some people to read because they can't sit there reading something they're not interested in for long. It is important to read something interesting to you or else it isn't going to be very fun. Some people don't like reading at all. They like following movies. The good things about movies are it is easier to follow and keep track of what's going on. You also get to see details of expression in movies and see what they look like and what they sound like. It is still very interesting but people think that books are better because they have more detail of activity. But do you know how hard it is to act out a movie? It takes quite a long time to get the cast and stunts and everything together. Where in a book it is one person writing and then sends it in to be published. The bad things about movies is that you can't take the cinemas anywhere you go, you can't pause it and you can't watch it at your own pace and not miss anything. New technology helps us with that like portable DVD players and phones but books are still as popular as they used to be.
