My Sister's Keeper is about a girl called Anna and she is born into this world because her parents generated her to be a match donor for her leukemic sister, Kate. Anna is sick of being prodded and poked with needles while her sister is in hospital most of the time. Anna hires her own lawyer and sues her mum in court for the rights of her own body. Read the book or watch the movie for the whole story.
Book

My mum was reading this book called My Sister's Keeper. It sounded interesting so I decided to read it. So I borrowed it. In places it was hard to understand because it is more of an adult's book and even had some words that I have never heard of. The book was a very realistic set up and it was hard to put down. I never knew there would be a movie but straight after I read it the movie came out to cinemas. The book was had to understand in some areas but overall it was very good. Very moving and I knew that the movie would have lots of people in tears. Jodi Picoult is a very talented writer just like Stephanie Meyer etc. This book would probably not be suitable for kids or young teens.
Movie

I went to see My Sister's Keeper with my mum, Vicki after me and her read the book. We went with the tickets from the youth festival. It was a great movie and definitely easier to understand then the book. The movie was still filled with lots of sadness but I always thought that it is much more entertaining then books. You can see things in more detail. A book takes a long time to read when a movie takes a minimum of one hour and a half. There were lots of people in the cinemas crying behind me and in front of me. In my opinion the movie was better then the book. They also changed the ending as well and without giving the ending away I think the ending was not as sad as the book. I would recommend this movie for nearly anyone.
