Joely

I am a 14 years old and I am in year nine. My name is Joely and the world of journalism fascinates me to a point of wanting to start writing for the world as soon as possible.
 
The subjects at school that I am best at and enjoy the most include- English, Stop Press (journalism elective) and P.E. At Primary School I always thought that writing was one of my only strong points, yet these days I think of it as a privilege that I can open my mind and put words into a sentence that actually mean something.
 
Some of my hobbies outside of school include- swimming, surfing- I love the feeling of being in the water, I have grown up with it and think of it as a lively- hood. I also love the freeness of riding a surfboard; it takes you to a place that is like no other. One of my most recent hobbies is Yoga; it is much harder than it looks. It puts your body in positions that you never though possible and is very revitalizing.
 
I am a very free going person who is up for a challenge and always willing to learn something new. The Roving Reporters is a brilliant way for young people to express themselves in a very public way; this is going to be a very exciting experience.
