Many people would think that this novel is just a really bad remake of Twilight but I am here to tell you different. I was quite literally captured by the first page and was humoured and scared numerous times. It is the first in a series of four books; Evernight, Stargazer, Hourglass and Afterlife.
After Bianca is accepted into Evernight Academy, she as student, her mother and father as teachers, she feels like the school is evil. As a last attempt she tries to run away for the day to make a point but ends up being chased by a boy named Lucas who thinks she is being chased by someone else. They suddenly fall into a deep romance, but things get out of hand and Bianca loses control and bites Lucas. Bianca is a vampire. Lucas soon finds out and everyone Bianca loves will be jeopardised as the battle between ancient societies begins. But will she lose Lucas-forever?
This was an incredibly good book and I think it strikes the perfect amount of romance, humour and supernatural. I would recommend it to anyone who loves reading, four and a half stars.
